Project description:
The project consisted of providing technical assistance services to Iasi County Council, together with the contract associates, for the preparation of the project "Modernisation of the S.M.I.D. of Iasi County towards the Transition to a Circular Economy", aimed at modernising the integrated waste management system at county level and accessing European funding for the implementation of the planned investments in waste management infrastructure.
- The specific nature of the project stemmed from the development of complex technical and economic documentation, with a focus on substantiating the technical and financial solutions for the recovery of waste fractions, including those with energy potential, in the context of the transition to a circular economy. The Feasibility Study was required to be complemented by specialist support studies — geological, geotechnical, and environmental — as well as technical expert assessments and the related design documentation, in order to provide the county authority with a robust instrument for accessing European funding.
