Investments in green production and circular economy to strengthen competitiveness and diversify the activity of PRINTCO SRL.

Project description:

The project aimed to implement a circular production model for sustainable packaging by using secondary raw materials, collecting and recycling waste generated during the production process, and reintegrating it into the economic cycle. The investment included the construction of a green facility equipped with photovoltaic panels, heat pumps, and charging stations for electric vehicles, the acquisition of modern technological equipment, and the diversification of the product portfolio through the introduction of five new eco-friendly products, including a reusable modular stand designed for rental and recycling. The main objective was to increase PRINTCO SRL’s competitiveness by aligning with the principles of the circular economy. The investment was funded through the Northeast Regional Program 2021–2027—Investments for the Sustainable Growth of SMEs.

  • The main challenge was to determine how the proposed investments align with the company’s sustainable development needs. As a strategic project in the circular economy, developing the business plan required an innovative approach to identifying production flows, integrating raw materials from renewable sources, and reconfiguring the facilities to accommodate in-line equipment.
